| Honeymoon Heist
This took over ten years to write, mostly because I kept abandoning it
and coming back to it. I don't remember what inspired it, except that I
liked the idea of examining all the facets of a relationship, with
baggage from the past, doubts about the future and two different
personalities learning to live together. Throwing in a mystery element
was almost an afterthought.
The Backliner:
After surviving a tumultuous wedding day, all Rodney and Claire Hewlett
want is to enjoy a relaxing honeymoon on a luxurious island. But when
one of the locals chases them through town and ransacks their hotel
room, relaxing is the last thing on the newlyweds' minds, especially
when they discover one of their suitcases has been replaced with a case
full of cash. Now on the run, Rodney and Claire have no one to turn to
except Claire's philandering French ex-husband.
In Honeymoon Heist veteran author Anna Jones Buttimore crafts a
hilarious and thrilling tale that will take you by plane, train and boat
across Europe on an adrenaline-pumping ride that doesn't slow down until
the very last page.

Easterfield
This is my favourite of the books I have written, and was the most fun
to write too. The research was really fascinating, and writing in
old-style language was a challenge.
The Backliner:
LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND, 1850: When Mr. Wilson, a Mormon missionary,
arrives in the rural parish of Easterfield, Catherine Waters finds
herself intrigued by both the message he brings and his relationship to
her reclusive and aristocratic neighbour. Through Mr. Wilson, Catherine
is drawn into the strange world of Easterfield Hall, where both her
cousin and sister find forbidden love, and Catherine uncovers secrets
that change her entire outlook on their peaceful life. After Mr. WIlson
is called back to Utah, the dashing Dr. Davenport is on hand to offer
love, security, and help in piecing together Catherine's fragmenting
life. As she experiences gut-wrenching fear, hopeless love, and the loss
of all she once thought important, she learns that the things that
matter are eternal.

| A World Away Published by Covenant
Communications in 2001, A World Away was the sequel to Haven,
my first novel. I hadn't intended writing a sequel and had not left
any loose ends to be tied up, so I achieved this by introducing a new
set of guests as opposed to following the stories of the guests featured
in Haven. One of the characters in A World Away, Amy
Crosby, was named after an LDS bookstore employee in Billings, Montana,
who wrote me my first "fan" letter after reading Haven.
The Backliner:
Over the years, Gwen Anderton’s quaint bed
and breakfast has served as a vacation spot, an escape, a fortress, a
haven. For each guest it is something different, tied to their very
personal reasons for being there. Her current guests are no exception.
Anna Jones has written an exciting and thoroughly satisfying novel about
a very special place where dreams are renewed, peace is discovered, and
where lives are changed—A World Away.

| Haven Haven
was my first novel, and the idea was suggested to me by Covenant editor,
Valerie Holladay. I had submitted an unsuitable novel to Covenant, but
Valerie liked my style and suggested I set a novel in Wales, where I was
then living, and incorporate a variety of characters.
The Backliner:
An Enchanting Story of Unexpected Discoveries and New Beginnings.
As a young woman, Gwen Evans turned her parents’ old farmhouse in north
Wales into a cozy bed-and-breakfast. As she shares her simple LDS faith
with her guests, their lives are touched in lasting ways. Megan and
Charlotte are her first LDS guests, who come to do genealogy even though
their comfortable lives at home in Utah are threatening to dissolve.
Gwen’s other guests include a small English family, whose father has
suffered a devastating loss, and three young cousins who are hiking
through Europe together despite their long-held mutual animosity.
Then there is Edward Anderton, a widower who has returned to Haven many
times over the years, drawn to Gwen's warmth and cheer. But can she
return his affections when she is determined only to marry a man who
shares her faith?
Author Anna Jones has created an exquisite and tender first novel, about
one woman’s ability to reach out to others-and the gifts of love she
receives in return.
